Resource Development & Marketing Director

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and three to five years’ relevant workplace experience.
  • Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) or equivalent certification a plus.
  • Team player with strong organizational and project management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations.
  • Ability to establish contacts with various audiences and donors.
  • High degree of professional integrity to ethically manage confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent computer skills and aptitude to learn new donor software tools such as EveryAction and Canva.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours when necessary.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Resource Development Director is responsible for growing Vashti’s reach and capabilities by securing funding and support which advances the organization’s ability to fulfill our mission. Resource development responsibilities include:

  • Finding and securing operational support in the form of annual, recurring, and major gifts.
  • Identifying and securing designated gifts in support of existing programs and new programs.
  • Managing the grant application process, from identifying opportunities, to writing grants, to reporting on grants received.
  • Working in collaboration with the Executive Director and program directors to solicit contract dollars from local, regional, state, and national entities in support of new and existing programs.
  • Diversifying Vashti’s revenue streams in innovative ways to meet and exceed financial goals.

A portion of the position is dedicated to marketing, education, and outreach activities, which includes:

  • Newsletter writing and publication.
  • Preparation of press releases, handling of media relations and representation of the organization or preparation of the Executive Director and Board trustees to represent agency to the media.
  • Coordination of the publication of documents to include fundraising brochures, letters, and other marketing materials, annual reports.
  • Generation of print materials, multi-media presentations to generate interest and support in existing and new markets.
  • Management of the organization website and social media.
  • Assisting the Executive Director with gift acknowledgements and correspondence.
  • Cultivation and management of employer partnerships pipeline for served clients of The Vashti Center.

Special Events:

  • Work with the Board to plan and carry out one major event with revenue goals, annually.
  • Execute a minimum of 4 giving days with revenue goals, annually.
  • Assist in events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Will work closely with:

  • Executive Director and Board of Trustees in coordinating, integrating, and reporting on resource development activities and strategies.
  • Finance Manager in campaign performance, and matters related to payments and pledges and gift acknowledgements.
  • Executive Director and Associate Director in the development of messaging and materials.

Resilient Southwest Georgia Director of Outreach & Training

Position Overview:

The Director of Outreach & Training is a pivotal role within the Regional Coalition Program team at the Vashti Center. Reporting to the Executive Director and Associate Director, this individual will spearhead the coordination and execution of outreach and training initiatives aimed at bolstering the effectiveness of the coalition’s efforts. Working closely with the Resilient SWGA team, the Director will play a central role in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities associated with the Coalition, with a focus on fostering community engagement, supporting regional partners, and advancing behavioral and mental health initiatives.

General Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coalition in collaboration with the Resilient SWGA team, supervising and overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities associated with the Coalition.

  • Represent the coalition at community events and activities, cultivating relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the community evaluator and team to collect data for reporting purposes, ensuring the effective monitoring and evaluation of coalition activities.

  • Provide technical assistance to local and regional partners, offering guidance and support in coalition building efforts.

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies to foster long-term involvement of community institutions, organizations, and individuals in behavioral and mental health initiatives.

Duties:

  • Support diverse, collaborative relationships with partners at the local, regional, and state levels to achieve collective impact.

  • Maintain and recruit coalition partners, government agencies, and content experts to support the implementation of community strategies.

  • Provide coalition building technical assistance to Regional Family Connection partners to enhance collaborative efforts.

  • Identify resources and supports to enhance the effective implementation of regional strategies.

  • Develop and maintain a database of trainings offered to support regional coalition efforts.

  • Collaborate with the regional coalition partners to maintain the Regional Child and Family Behavioral Health Resource Guide and other relevant resources.

  • Manage the regional partner coalition newsletter and contact database.• Oversees and plans our social media calendar for the entire organization in coordination with our third-party contractor, and approves the content posted.

  • Oversees and manages marketing materials designed and purchased for the coalition and overall agency.

  • Capture and organize key takeaways and action items from monthly regional coalition calls.

  • Meets with senior management staff to report on coalition activities, training, and marketing initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, public policy/planning, social work, or related field. Masters preferred but not required to apply.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience required; experience in a non-profit or public health environment preferred or coalition building skills preferred.

  • Keen interest in behavioral health required; behavioral health subject matter expertise/experience preferred.

  • Impeccable attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills; results-oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute.

  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

  • Robust problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

  • Proficiency in public speaking; ability to address large groups effectively.

  • Willingness to become a training facilitator as part of the role responsibilities.

  • Experience or skills in grant writing preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and experience with design software such as Canva.

  • Availability to work some weekends for coalition events or trainings.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to service multiple counties in the region and attend statewide conferences.

Childcare Worker - Thomasville Location
QUALIFICATIONS:

At least twenty-one (21) years of age, valid Georgia driver’s license, able to pass fingerprinting background check, high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of previous experience working with children.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Child Care Worker (CCW) assures that the basic needs of the consumers in care are met and provides necessary supervision and individual attention. The CCW serves as a role model, and as such communicates and interprets the basic philosophy, policies, rules, programs and procedures of the program of care. Other duties of the CCW include but are not limited to maintaining cottage cleanliness, participation in recreational activities and transportation of consumers in care.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assists other staff in all aspects of day to day care
  • Implements structure and rules through supervision and guidance of consumers
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the treatment plan by understanding the consumer’s diagnosis
  • Administers and records medications to consumers in accordance with agency policies and procedures
  • Assists new consumers in becoming familiar with the RBWO program
  • Provides transportation of consumers as directed by supervisor
  • Assists staff in developing solutions to individual or cottage wide problems
  • Maintains cottage cleanliness and structure as outlined in the cottage inspection form
  • Participates in physical restraints of consumers when necessary
  • Works in a team relationship with supervisors and other CCWs
  • Participates in consumer recreational activities on and off the cottage
  • Completes necessary documentation thoroughly and as directed by supervisor

Therapist
QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in social services field. Must be Licensed Eligible. Prefer Licensed or Associate Licensed in the State of Georgia as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Development and conceptualization of child/adolescent needs based on presenting circumstances, family history, cultural considerations, and stated desires of child/adolescent and family. Provide therapy based on evidence-based theory and approaches to best meet the needs of presenting clients. Quality documentation submitted in a timely manner for the purpose of meeting service and State guidelines, and billing.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITES:

1. Provide individual or family therapy as directed by consumer’s assessment and treatment plan.

2. Develop awareness of service guideline standards applicable to all providers of services for child/adolescent community mental health and addictive diseases.

3. To comply with fiscal intermediary service timetables:

a. Progress notes shall be completed and placed into the consumers chart within 7 days of service delivery.

b. An expectation amount will set and reviewed by the supervisor. If expectations are not meet progressive discipline will occur up to and including termination.

c. Billing for care is an essential part of the position

4. To comply with all Continuous Quality Improvement requests in a timely and complete manner.

5. To participate in staffing of caseload consumers as requested which may include initiating and overseeing PRTF (Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility) or psychiatric hospitalization.

6. To provide reports and notes to fiscal intermediaries of such quality that they are not disallowed and reimbursement secured.

7. To participate in Clinical Supervision as required by the Department of Behavioral Health Guidelines (if Applicable).

Community Support Worker

Responsibilities for Community Support Worker

The Community Support Worker is responsible for acting as the case manager for each consumer on the caseload. The CSW will provide face-to-face and collateral contacts as specified on the individual’s treatment plan. As well as, assist youth to identify their strengths, which may aid him/her in achieving resilience, as well as barriers that impede the development of skills necessary for age-appropriate functioning in school, with peers, and with family.
