PRN Childcare Worker

Qualifications:

The PRN Child Care Worker must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s License. Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED and two years of direct service experience with children and families or an Associate’s degree or higher in behavioral or social science field.

The Child Care Worker will be responsible to:

  • Monitor children and adolescents in daily routine and activities
  • Transport children and adolescents to school and varying appointments
  • Manage behavioral issues
  • Document in charts, incident reports, cottage log, medication management, etc.
  • Ensure cleanliness of cottage
  • Attend required trainings

The PRN Child Care Worker is needed to work non-traditional hours to include 12-hour shifts, weekends, and be readily available to provide shift coverage in the event of staff call-outs or vacations

Contract Maintenance Staff

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of one year experience in maintenance.

Demonstrated abilities in carpentry, painting, appliance installation and repair, auto maintenance and repair, plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning system.  Lock & Key service and repair.  Operation of lawn equipment.  First Aid/CPR certification.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This employee is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks, which involve the maintenance of buildings, ground and equipment at the Vashti Center.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Works with other members of the maintenance staff in servicing electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning equipment, and in maintenance tasks involving all agency buildings and grounds.
  2. Maintains Swimming pool
  3. Performs carpentry work.
  4. Performs painting task as assigned.
  5. Performs general cleaning as necessary and as assigned.
  6. Installs new equipment, appliances, and appliance and/or automotive parts.
  7. Maintains lawn and grounds care including seeding, mowing, weeding, trimming, general clean-up, etc.
  8. Communicates to supervisor the needs of the department.
  9. Lock & Key service and repair.
  10. Keeps required records

HR Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, human resources, or a related field with two years experience in a related position.

Good organizational skills; working knowledge of worker’s compensation laws, fair labor practices, and the personality to work cooperatively in group relationships.  Must be neat and have the ability to work with the public.  Must be knowledgeable of computer software and server operations.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

 The HR Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, screening, and processing of selected employees including monitoring and scheduling of training for employees.  The maintenance of all personnel files, affirmative action logs and reports, monitoring worker compensation claims, department of labor reports and claims, and the monitoring of all personnel policies and procedures to insure compliance with federal and state laws.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

As needed:

  1. Prepares and coordinates all employment advertising including in house posting of positions, media advertising, job fairs, seminars and workshops and contacts with other agencies.
  2. Gathers and screens to insure that qualifications/credentialing requirements are met on all applications/resumes and maintains constant communication with the Supervisor/Director seeking to fill a position regarding status and inquiry of scheduling of interviews for same.  Responds appropriately to all employment inquiries and follow through on all applications with either timely pursuit for future interviews, position status reports to applicants, or terminates the interview process.  Prior to job offer, verifies references and employment history of applicants.
  3. Schedules pre-employment appointments for background checks/fingerprints, physicals, and drug screens and monitors timely. Responsible for scheduling the orientation and required training of all new employees/contract workers.  Assures that all hiring/contract documents are understood and signed by the employee/contract worker and properly placed in the personnel/contract file.  Assures the completion of the credentialing process for Clinic and Community staff.
  4. Schedules appointments with Big Oak Advisors when new staff are eligible for benefits.
  5. Works with Big Oak Advisors in the maintenance of HR Software program and establishes e-mail addresses and training of use of software with new staff.
  6. Monitors all workers’ compensation claims in order to minimize costs.  Make certain that all incident reports are filed within the three day report time (to avoid penalties); that all necessary paper work to calculate benefits are reported to the worker’s compensation board within the given time specified; that the procedures and notice of qualifying physicians are posted.
  7. Manages and monitors all unemployment compensation claims to minimize cost.  This includes proper documentation, counsel, and direction to those involved in the termination process.
  8. Represents the agency when appropriate at hearings.  Confers with their supervisor and/or CEO when council is necessary.
  9. Participates with supervisors in disciplinary actions to ensure policy and procedure is being followed and that the agency is following all applicable state and federal laws.
  10. Responsible for maintaining fingerprinting, applications and other information required for volunteer and mentoring program.
  11. Monitors policies and procedures for Human Resources and updates as needed.

Weekly:

  1. Prepares report for senior management regarding personnel issues, worker compensation issues and open positions and status within the agency.

Monthly:

  1. Establishes and monitors monthly affirmative action logs and prepares affirmative action reports.
  1. Collects and reviews time sheets for accuracy in accordance with operating procedures for salaried employees and calculate flex-time.
  2. Responsible for Monthly CQI Reporting regarding personnel and distribution of information.
  3. Responsible to maintain the contents of personnel files and maintenance of each to meet State and Federal requirements through the Needed Forms document to supervisors and the notification and distribution of forms to each employee.
  4. Responsible for all changes to job descriptions/evaluations and contracts and insuring that any changes made are reviewed with appropriate staff members and appropriate forms are completed.

Quarterly:

  1. Responsible to update emergency contact and addresses for employees/contract workers on a quarterly basis.
  2. Responsible to schedule Quarterly Random Drug Screenings as required by the agency Drug Free Workplace policy.

Annually:

  1. Advertises the Equal Employment Opportunity Statement and makes certain that it is published in the papers with copies sent to the Department of Labor.
  2. Responsible for working with Big Oak Advisors in scheduling and notifying employees of changes for open enrollment period.
