Vashti Sunday

February 7, 2021

Will you be a part of Vashti Sunday?

Every year, churches across Georgia help us change lives by being a part of Vashti Sunday.

What is Vashti? Vashti is a mission started in 1903 by the United Methodist Women. Since our foundation, we have worked with children, youth and families who have a variety of challenges — many of them mental health challenges. We foster healing and hope for some of the most needy among us. While we have a group home that serves highly at-risk youth in Georgia, we also directly serve hundreds of youth and families with counseling services in a six-county region of Georgia. We also provide free training to law enforcement, teachers, parents and others who serve children affected by mental health issues and childhood trauma.

Each year, Vashti empowers hundreds of children and families in rural southwest Georgia to become resilient and healthy. This is the impact our donors and churches have by supporting us.

– Elijah Miranda, Executive Director

How Can You participate?

There are two versions of Vashti Sunday that you can choose to do with your church.
